Today I went to Forbidden Planet...

Wonder Woman
...and here follows a photo-journal of my trip. Some of my LJ-friends might like to see their books on a London shelf. (Please excuse the poor quality pics; these were taken on my mobile phone.)

Here we have Forbidden Planet in Central London. This is where I go to worship check out the new releases each week:

Next, we jump straight into the 'New Titles' section. And who should I find there? Look, it's [info]ilona_andrews's Magic Burns, which had just arrived:

When I went round to the 'A' section of the books, here's what I found:

OK, that's enough from Ilona. ;) Next we have...

Yes, it's [info]antonstrout's Dead To Me, right in the middle there. And look again, could that be The Cipher, by [info]difrancis, right next to him?

I also saw:

Chaz Brenchley, otherwise known as [info]desperance, there's River of the World just like I told you. But, look! Since Monday they are already down to one copy!! How cool is that? :)

What else did I see there? Um... Oh yes, this one:

[info]jimhines's Goblin War (sorry it's a bit blurry, Jim).
ETA: And of course, Jim is surrounded by two lovely ladies: [info]mevennen and [info]mizkit.

And finally, here's [info]rkvincent's Rogue. I thought she'd be pleased to see that us Brits have placed her right next to Joe Hill:

That's all for now, folks! Us aspiring authors can only dream of having our books in the hallowed 'New Titles' section at Forbidden Planet. Ah, one day... *sigh* ;)

You'll have to tell me where the London Forbidden Planet is so I can go blow my student loans there... :-D Murder 1 too.

Hee! It's a deadly place, isn't it? I'd like to see your FP one day, too. :)

I was really tempted by comic stuff today. Trade collections, deluxe hardcover Marvel stuff... *wants more money to spend*

So I know you bought some Suburban Glamour, but did you buy anything else?

*nosy*

I love my local comic shop, Travelling Man. (To the point I don't go to the Forbidden Planet down the road from it.) Every Thursday they stay open till 10:30pm and people come in to chat and draw and hang out. And I'm friends with the people who run it, and they know me enough to pull out stuff I'll like and put it in my box even if it's not on my list.

I miss it so. *can't wait to be able to go again.(

Loved the virtual tour, Karen ;) Thank you. And I have already read House of Cards - C E Murphy - which I thoroughly enjoyed even more than I thought I would,(and I was expecting it to be wonderful). Plus a couple of the others are sitting in my tbr pile ready to go on hols with me at the end of next week *g*
